Co Living Edinburgh

Edinburgh has an undeniable need for co living and BTR (build to rent) developments, with such a diverse population and a key focus around finance. Co living and BTR can make a huge difference to the overall housing ecosystem.

Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland, has a population of around 520,000 people and around 19.5% of these people are in their twenties and 15.2% are in their thirties. Edinburgh has a young population compared to other UK cities and boasts the strongest economy outside of London. The city has the highest percentage of professionals than any other city in the UK, around 43% of its population either holds a degree or a similar professional qualification. Kosy Co Living prides itself on offering high quality community living in excellent locations throughout the UK and Edinburgh is one of our favourite cities. The high percentage of young professionals in the city means that Edinburgh loves us too!

According to the Centre for International Competitiveness, Edinburgh is the most competitive large city in the UK. Historically known for its banking, insurance and publishing industries, today Edinburgh’s economy is largely based around financial services, higher education, scientific research and tourism. In fact, Edinburgh is the second most visited UK city outside of London by foreign tourists. Banking has always played a huge part in the history of the city and it large firms such as Scottish Widows and Standard Life Aberdeen still underpin the economy in the city today. It is the largest financial centre outside of London and is home to the headquarters of Bank of Scotland, Sainsburys Bank, Tesco Bank and TSB.

Therefore it makes financial sense for Edinburgh to retain the graduates that come out of its three universities, University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University and Edinburgh Napier University. In total there are over 85,000 students studying in Edinburgh every year but not all students remain in the city after their degree comes to an end. Kosy Co Living believes that if Edinburgh had access to more high quality co living accommodation aimed at graduates and young professionals then the retention of these graduates would be a lot higher. Kosy Co Living developments offer its residents the chance to live with like-minded people within a community whereby all bills are included. The amenities that are included within the one monthly bill are of the highest standard from the roof top terraces to the gyms and the co working spaces located on the ground floor. All amenities are included in the monthly bill and by combining co living and co working, Kosy Co Living is adapting to how todays younger generations live and work.

At Kosy Co Living we strive to provide community living and enhanced lifestyle solutions for our residents. Our attitude to how to live and work is changing and so Kosy Co Living is providing an exciting living option for Edinburgh residents to live with like-minded people in the city that they call home.
